I really really adore Mel Kadel’s work, I had such a hard time choosing which to post! It has a lot of the same qualities of Edward Gorey’s work, plus her use of color is simply inspired. More on her in this Fecal Face interview. Source.

Greetings friendly friends! Here’s some sketch ideas for custom hand typeface which I’ve been working on. It’s pro-bono spec work, so who knows if it will go anywhere. But it’s fun and good practice all the same!

I just discovered the delightfully named, Magic Jelly blog & Etsy store. Lovely vintage feeling collages, moleskines, gocco prints, coasters, and buttons.

Made me laugh. No credits to the designer though, no one seems to know! Bummer, it’s too funny to not give them due credit. Source.
Obsessive Consumption
I love Kate Bingaman-Burt’s concept and illustration style. She photographs all of her
purchases and hand draws both her credit card statements and something else she purchases each day. And on top of that she publishes her monthly sketches into zines, for sale on her etsy shop. Color me a fan for sure.
