Oh! I guess they must sell wholesale internationally, cause at least according to the Leifsdottir site, they are in fact originally Finnish. But that’s good, I can find it locally and even try on in person!
Ah, Leifsdottir! How I covet their clothes. I think you’re right, actually- it is a Finnish brand. Their clothes are sold at Anthropologie for outrageous prices, but it’s not actually part of the UO/Anthro/Free People brand. It’s a line sold to a number of high end retailers- Nieman Marcus, Anthro, etc.
But yes, their clothes are gorgeous. I may have in fact considered ransoming my future children for a dress or two…
Emily, I know exactly how you feel, such is the daily battle of blogging about beautiful things! I constantly have the “I wants”. It’s torturous sometimes!
Hi there! My name's Margot, and this is where I share project details, shortcuts, influences, and longer-form essays on the state of design, contemporary art, and technology. You can learn about my work and portfolio here. You can hire me to work on your project or speak at your event here.
I also publish a newsletter on the 3rd Thursday of the month with an in-depth look at my life/ work if you prefer.
Leifsdottir is actually an Urban Outfitters brand…so they’re American.
