Proximity Magazine is expanding its ever-inspiring empire with two new art & design publications, which are launching this Saturday. Matériel is a super fresh art & design companion to Proximity which I’m already drooling over. And Pr is a massive newsprint poster/openings calendar/Proximity teaser jam, designed & illustrated by yours truly. Everything is at press this very moment, so you’ll have to make do with these images. I’ll post photos of the pieces when I have a chance though.

And in case you don’t have plans the following weekend (you don’t I just checked), there’s ANOTHER party on the 28th at the Family Room, celebrating the newest endeavor of Chad Kouri, Eric Ellis, & Jesse Hora. It’s called Margin Detail, and it’s a going to be a blog celebrating all things doodle. It will also feature regular contributions by several illustrators, including Kate Bingaman-Burt, Chris Piascik, & Vaughn Fender.
