New find & friend Michael Pajon had some impressive up in Chad’s Get It Together show this weekend (the show was fantastic, but that’s a whole other post). Mike’s collages are incredibly intricate, all cut by hand from vintage ephemera. He’s also got some great etchings & intaglio prints that are really nice too.
Well not mine, actually, but Dawn’s. I found her lovely treasury of paper goodies a couple days ago on Simplesong and I was thoroughly impressed. I wish my workspace was so well styled & organized! Dawn occasionally sells the paper or sets up trades too.
Get ready dudes, I’m about to blow your MINDS. These are just folded pieces of paper, kind of like origami but 2D. Nice, huh? By German artist, Simon Schubert. Via Today And Tomorrow.
Art School Girl, Amy, has updated her etsy shop with loads of Spring cleaning, which means new goodies for sale. I particularly love the random grab bags of vintage imagery. Happy cut ‘n pasting! Via The Post Family.
Japanese artist, Noriko Ambe’s work is so gorgeous. Her cut-paper sculptures resemble topography or the rings of a tree. I especially like when she pairs this technique with images of people because I think it’s a witty metaphor for the subtleties of the human condition. Via Kottke.org
