December…it’s like everyone collectively loses their minds a little bit. Don’t you think? Parties! Events! Family! Travel! Weather delays! Don’t be a Grinch, slow down and enjoy it! Let’s crank out all projects by the end of the year! And so it goes, until January 1 when everyone and everything collapses into hibernation, hungover from all the indulgence and furor.
Here’s a few events I’m looking forward to in the next couple weeks:
+ Tonight, December 2nd: Mark McGinnis opening at Post 27.
+ Wednesday December 8th: Design Bureau issue #2 release party.
+ Friday December 10th: I’m speaking with Jackson Cavanaugh, Nick Campbell, Jana Kinsman, Luke Williams, and Mig Reyes at MERGE. It’s a free party thrown by a small group of volunteers from AIGA Chicago, all proceeds go to Reason to Give.
+ Nancy Rosen’s (new website!) closing More is More reception Saturday, December 11th at The Post Family.
Friday December 17th: Two art openings, a giant group show at Golden Age.
And so it begins…
