Ok so Architecture in Helsinki is not a new band, nor do they have a new album. But this week I’ve got a taste for a really specific sound, and this was it, thanks to my Lastfm suggested bands. Winter feels terminal these days, so I was after something bouncy and not too complex. Definitely some shades here of Margot & the Nuclear So & So’s, Of Montreal, the Black Kids, etc.
*Also, Cadence Weapon just dropped a new album, available for the pay-what-you-will download. I haven’t listened to it yet, but I figured it was worth noting since who doesn’t love the cheap as hell download, right?
