If you follow Marrimekko at all then you’ve likely heard of Sanna Annuka. Pattern-Designer Supreme, this chick is not messing around. See more at Notcot, they’ve got a nice little write up in their archives.

Dutch designer Karin Mientjes has some really great conceptual work and a really great pattern sense.

Still sloooowly working my way through tabs, and here’s another. I heard from happy times designer/illustrator Eric Smith and immediately noticed his eye for color, type, & patterns. Sometimes all 3 at once! I also dig the “happy in my ness” poster which I believe is a from an old Ben Harper song. Thank you Eric!

I’ve definitely seen Apirat Infahsaeng’s work around & about, but until now I had no idea what his name was. Thanks to Print Magazine for clearing that up for me; Apirat is part of their 2009 New Visual Artists feature.

Sarah Neuberger of A Small Object wrote a letter to her niece and then had it screened onto fabric at Spoonflower, which she then made into this adorable quilt. I originally heard about Spoonflower a couple weeks ago at a community designer/artist brainstorm hosted by (gorgeous shop) Post 27, but I was reminded of it today at Oh Happy Day. This is such an excellent resource, both for designing and sourcing custom patterns. Reasonably priced too!
