Bernd & Hilla Becher

German photographer couple, Bernd & Hilla Becher’s water tower series is fantastic. I love it when artists take something industrial & utilitarian and transform it to be so completely gorgeous. Plus there’s a really nice graininess…something delightfully unrefined about these that a lot of modern photography just doesn’t have these days. Also why don’t American water towers look like this??
