It’s been aaaages since I’ve done a music post. I guess these days I’m spending less time seeking out new tunes (hopefully this is only temporary). Anyway, SimpleScott gave me Eilen Jewell’s album Letters From Sinners & Strangers the other day and it was instant love. She’s a little more country than I normally would have chosen but her smooth honey voice hooked me. Her whole vibe is great, the like a bluesy jamming barn dance. If you like Neko Case, Jolie Holland, Patsy Cline etc, you’ll definitely appreciate Eilen Jewell too. Give a listen here.
